The central theme of my research is the application of concepts from Iterated Function Systems (IFSs) to the dynamics of complex systems. The long term goals are the development of the theoretical tools required for the analytical design of artificial neural networks and other large scale assemblies of interacting agents. Learning and adaptation will be components of the behavior of these systems, but not the central design paradigm.
